Christmas folk traditions

We are pleased to invite you to the exhibition of Christmas folk traditions, which is going to take place in the upper greenhouse of our botanical garden since 1st December 2017 untill 1st January 2018. Oxalis plants from southern Africa in bloom

You might be familiar with the common wood sorrel (Oxalis acetosella). It has typical heart-shaped trifoliate sour-tasting leaves and delicate white flowers. It is rather common in our woods. In the Cape area of South Africa there are many species of Oxalis with different colours of flowers and extraordinary shapes of leaves.
